Japan launch Michibiki 2 GPS Satellites

Japan launched a satellite on Thursday to make the process of identifying different locations in the world more accurate. It is being speculated that this sophisticated satellite will make the US-operated GPS system more complete.

The H-IIA rocket carrying the Michibiki 2 satellite was launched at 9.17 am the local time from Japan's southern  Tanegashima space station. The show was shown in the video footage of Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency.

Though initially created for the US military, the satellite GEO  location system is now being used by ordinary citizens. It is also used in internet browsing on mobile phones, from knowing the location of the vehicle.

Note that for the service in 2010, the first satellite was established in orbit. Japan will launch its third and fourth satellite by March 2018, to get the service in a more broad range.
